Brian has been in the engineering quality control environment most of his life. Together with Des Horn, he was involved in the designing and manufacturing of the Hawk pistol in 1972.
Brian has always been interested in the outdoors and started making knives in 1975 as a hobby. He joined the South African Police in 1977 as a gunsmith. After attaining the rank of Colonel, he left the Force in 1998 and relocated to the Whale Capital, Hermanus, in Western Cape.
He is now enjoying spending time making different models of folding knives. Brian applied and was accepted as a member of the South African Knifemakers Guild in 2005.
