Born in Zambia but raised in raised in South Africa where I snatched at every opportunity towards the outdoor life.
I was employed in the mining industry during which time my interest in knife making started as a hobby, back in 1990. My desire to always strive towards an improved product lead me to being accepted as a member of the "Southern African Knife maker’s Guild" in October 1996. As a result of the mining industry downsizing I was retrenched in January 2001 and thus took up knife making as a full-time occupation, which is my passion.
Working from my house in the Strand near Cape Town. I produce a variety of knives both fixed and folding blades. The knives that I produce are designed for practical use. Each knife has its blade polished to the highest degree. I take pride in grinding and polishing the blade to an extremely high degree of mirror.
Although I work from templates that I have designed over the years, working to a customer’s design is always a challenge that I enjoy.
